The Oxford International Standardized Assessments include a valuable familiarization test, available for all enrolled test-takers. This test is designed to help students get used to the digital testing environment and the format of the questions they will encounter, without focusing on specific subject content.
By allowing students to test their equipment and experience the online test interface, the familiarization test aims to reduce anxiety and build confidence, whilst highlighting any potential issues in good time before the scheduled subject tests. This preparation ensures that students can concentrate on the subject matter during the actual assessment, rather than being distracted by the unfamiliarity of the digital format.
We advise that the familiarization test is completed by all students participating in the assessments. The test is not subject specific, and therefore only needs to be taken once.
