The Oxford International Standardized Assessments provide a standardized measure of learner attainment across subject domains for ages 10–11 and 13–14:
- to support teachers’ evaluation of knowledge and skills at key points in learners’ progression
- to understand student performance to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning
- to understand attainment and inform future learning.
The Oxford International Standardized Assessments have a focus on wellbeing and fairness, to complement the Oxford International Curriculum. Learners are provided with a familiarization test that gives them a chance to interact with the platform and become familiar with the different question types. This allows them to learn to navigate and answer the different question types within the test, ensuring that there is nothing to impede their ability to complete the assessments.
Oxford International Standardized Assessments provide:
- a true portrait of every learner’s full capability, with consideration for learner wellbeing and fairness
- insight into students’ progress within each area of the curriculum, to inform decisions about further learning and focuses in subsequent years
- reliable test data and reporting, to equip learners to understand their strengths and develop in areas that require improvement
- a comparison of performance internationally and year on year, using standardized content, scoring, and administration, which are benchmarked using the Oxford International Standardized Assessment scales
- expert-authored assessment frameworks and tests, validated and calibrated through extensive piloting.
The Oxford International Standardized Assessments are endorsed and certificated by the University of Oxford.
