- The room where Oxford International Standardized Assessments will be taken should be free from interruptions and external noise.
- Computer screens should be approximately 1.1m away from each other.
- It is acceptable to use either laptops or desktops, provided they successfully complete the technical readiness check. Tablets and phones are not supported.
- Each device used for test-taking will need a keyboard, pointing device (mouse or touchpad), and headphones.
- Computers used to deliver the assessments must have access to a good quality internet connection.

Year 9 Maths only:
Please note that students will be required to bring their own calculator (one they use in regular maths lessons) to test paper 1. Calculators must comply with the following requirements:
- The calculator must be a separate device for the primary purpose of conducting mathematical calculations. Test-takers must not use a calculator app online or on a phone or tablet.
- The calculator should have the following functions, as a minimum:
- Basic arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Scientific notation including an exponent function (x10X)
- Raise to the power of (Xn)Raise to the power of (X2, X3 and XN)
- Log function
- Trigonometric functions: sine, cosine, tangent and the equivalent inverse functions
- Square root and cube root
During an examination, the calculator must not be able to offer any of the following functionality:
- Language translation
- Symbolic differentiation
- Symbolic integration
- Manipulation of symbolic algebra
- Internet connectivity
- Access to dictionaries or stored data, except scientific constants
